Some Good Ol' Home Cooking: Easy Meatloaf

Ready to try some easy yummy meatloaf?
It's perfect for these cold winter days.
Plus it's super easy!

YUM!!!

Okay here's what you need:

 Loaf-
1 pound ground beef. Pretty lean
1 pkg stuffing. I use turkey flavor. You can use whatever
1 cup grated cheese, whatever you have
1/4 cup thousand island dressing
1/4 cup onion chopped
2 eggs-beaten
3/4 cup milk

Topping
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dry ground mustard
1 cup ketchup

I'm not a huge fan of touching raw meat....
So I mix the:
stuffing
cheese
milk
eggs
dressing
onion
All into a Ziplock bag
Then I squeeze the meat in and mush it all around with my hands

And boom...
it should look like this.

Then cut a corner off your bag and squeeze it into a sprayed-with-pam loaf pan
Oven set to 350 degrees
Pop that sucker in for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

While you are waiting for it to bake
Mix the topping up
(brown sugar, dry mustard and ketchup)

After the 1 1/4 hour is up spread about half the topping on the loaf.
Stick it back in the oven for another 15 minutes
Left over topping is to spread on top when you are done.

Easy!
and my kids LOVE this meal.

Okay. Get cookin'!!!

  1. Yummy! And such a good idea to put the meat in the plastic bag. Now please give us your pie recipe...it's too delicious! I have literally been dreaming about it since you made them for us for Thanksgiving...
